Daniel’s Story (Age 7)

We were going to do a tour of the caves and had to drive there by van.

I felt scared and confident and also excited as well.

The most important thing for me was getting through it and I felt much more confident with my friends, Henry, William and Makaela around me.

I loved the way the glow worms shone in the cave, and I loved the way the stalagtites and stalagmites joined up together.

We went through the cave and saw lots of beautiful things. It was a lovely day to go into the caves. I liked the man who guided us and I liked everybody who helped me.

We walked on wet, muddy and slimy rocks through the caves.  We had torches to see and a helmet to protect our heads.

I hope the next people who go into the cave have an exciting time.
