Waikaretu Bush & Waterfall Walk

A five minute walk or short drive from the café is the Waikaretu bush and waterfall walk, a 60 minute round trip.

A sign with a map shows the route and points of interest on the way to the waterfall. The walk includes a large sign with information on limestone Karst landscapes, and there are over 36 small signs about the flora and fauna throughout the walk.

Nearly three decades ago Philip and Anne Woodward identified an area of environmental significance on their property and secured a QEII open space covenant of 9 hectares. With open space covenants, landowners continue to own and control access to their land and are responsible for managing their covenant, which includes pest and weed control work, keeping fences in good condition and keeping stock out of covenanted areas.
